Installing “Love”

Love is not just something we choose to do—love is what we choose to be. While love may seem like a big, overwhelming thing, it is actually made up of small, daily actions, simple words, and shared moments. Love is like a necklace, strung together one precious bead at a time—each one a tender, intentional moment of connection. I came across something recently that I just had to share. It’s a step-by-step, tech-inspired guide to “installing love,” and it creatively shows how love relates to healing from past hurts. It’s filled with truth, humor, and wisdom. Take the time to absorb it—you’ll be blessed!

A Step-by-Step Guide to Installing “Love” on the Human Machine:

Customer: I can do that. I’m not very technical, but I think I’m ready to install now. What do I do first?

Tech Support: The first step is to open your HEART. Have you located your HEART, ma’am?

Customer: Yes, I have, but there are several programs running right now. Is it okay to install while they are running?

Tech Support: What programs are running, ma’am?

Customer: Let me see… I have PASTHURT.EXE, LOWESTEEM.EXE, GRUDGE.EXE, and RESENTMENT.COM running right now.

Tech Support: No problem. LOVE will automatically erase PASTHURT.EXE from your system. It may remain in your permanent memory, but it will no longer disrupt other programs. LOVE will also eventually overwrite LOWESTEEM.EXE with a module of its own called HIGHESTEEM.EXE. However, you’ll need to completely turn off GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.COM, as they prevent LOVE from being properly installed. Can you turn those off?

Customer: I don’t know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?

Tech Support: Of course. Go to your Start menu and invoke FORGIVENESS.EXE. Run it as many times as necessary until GRUDGE.EXE and RESENTMENT.COM are completely erased.

Customer: Okay, I’m done. LOVE has started installing itself automatically. Is that normal?

Tech Support: Yes, it is. You should see a message that says LOVE will reinstall for the life of your HEART. Do you see that?

Customer: Yes, I do. Is it completely installed?

Tech Support: Yes, but remember you only have the base program. You’ll need to start connecting to other HEARTS to receive updates and upgrades.

Customer: Oops… I just got an error message. What should I do?

Tech Support: What does the message say?

Customer: It says “ERROR 412 – PROGRAM NOT RUN ON INTERNAL COMPONENTS.” What does that mean?

Tech Support: Don’t worry, that’s a common issue. It means that LOVE is designed to run on external HEARTS, but hasn’t yet been run on your own HEART. Simply put—you have to love your own “machine” before you can truly love others.

Customer: So what should I do?

Tech Support: Look for the directory called “SELF-ACCEPTANCE.” Do you see it?

Customer: Yes, I have it.

Tech Support: Excellent! Now copy the following files to your “MYHEART” directory: FORGIVESELF.DOC, SELFESTEEM.TXT, REALIZEWORTH.TXT, and GOODNESS.DOC. These will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Then delete SELFCRITIC.EXE from all directories and empty your recycle bin to be sure it’s completely gone.

Customer: Got it. Hey! My HEART is filling up with really neat files! SMILE.MPG is playing on my monitor right now. And WARMTH.COM, PEACE.EXE, and CONTENTMENT.COM are copying themselves all over my HEART!

Tech Support: Then LOVE is installed and running smoothly. You should be able to manage from here. But before I go—one last thing!

Customer: Yes?

Tech Support: LOVE is freeware. Be sure to give it away to everyone you meet. They’ll pass it on to others, and you’ll receive amazing modules back in return.

Customer: I will. Thank you for your help!
