Waterholes in the Winderness                                                                   Kenny Ashley

The wilderness is a dry, desolate and discouraging place. It is a land of broken dreams, unfulfilled promises and unmet expectations. There are no by-passes around the wilderness on our journey to the Promised Land. No one is exempt. We all experience times when God seems to have left us “high and dry.”But take heart, Beloved, there are Waterholes in the Wilderness. Father God has not abandoned us. There are streams of Living Water flowing from the most inconspicuous places. God even brought water out of a rock… THE Rock… when it seemed the children of Israel would succumb to the relentless torment of the desert. If you feel like you are between a rock and a hard place with no hope is sight, hang in there. Living Water is still flowing from that same Rock… the Lord Jesus Christ. He is THE Waterhole in your wilderness. Drink your fill. Times of refreshing are here. The Promised Land is closer than you think!

Gracelines for Animal Lovers                                                                     Kenny Ashley

“Just ask the animals, and they will teach you. Ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you. Speak to the earth, and it will instruct you. Let the fish in the sea speak to you. (Job 12:7-8 NLT). We love our dogs, cats, birds, turtles, but God loves them as well. Not only does He love pets, but God loves all animals. We seldom take the time to recognize God’s awesome creation. Animals can love, they can grieve, they get excited, etc. In a way they are just like us.

Animals show us how God loves us as well. When you see a lioness protecting her cub, it shows how God protects us. He is the Lion of Judah, you know. When you see a bird providing for her chicks, it shows how God provides for us. God wants us to take care of His animals. As He loves them, He wants us to love them as well. God loves animals. And although He loves mankind so much more, He still loves, cares for, and has compassion for all His creatures. A sparrow cannot die and fall to the ground apart from His knowledge and compassion. If He knows and cares about a single sparrow, how much more does He know and care about us?

If God loves and cares for animals, and we are made in His image, how can we not feel the same about them? I’m not saying that you can’t go to heaven when you die if you don’t love animals. I’m just saying that you are missing out on some of His greatest gifts which come wrapped in fur, feathers, shells, and scales. Animals have so much to teach us about God and joyous living. This book is designed for animal lovers and those who aren’t but should be. Who knows, maybe by the end of the book, God’s furry and feathered angels may make a convert out of you.

Anchors in The Storm                                                                                   Kenny Ashley

Once upon a time, Jesus told His disciples to get into a boat and go to the other side of the sea. On their way they encountered a fierce storm and began to fear for their very lives. When Jesus awoke, He rebuked the wind and the waves as well as the disciples. He rebuked them for their lack of faith. Had He not told them to go to the other side? How could they perish when He had told them that they were going to the other side?

Don’t you see? Jesus is the Anchor of our souls. He never fails no matter how fiercely the storms of doubt and despair batter us. This book is about choices. It’s about choosing to have the mind of Christ… to think what He thinks… to become what He calls us to be.

Unlocking the Mystery: Christ IN You                                                    Kenny Ashley

Are you living a Christian life, or are you living THE Christian life? A Christian life is based on your behavior. What you do and how much you do. Do you attend church every Sunday? Do you read the Bible every day? Do you keep all of the rules? The list goes on ad infinitum. Trying to live a Christian life is extremely exhausting and an exercise in futility. Why? Because Jesus is the only one who can live THE Christian life. There is no such thing as a Christian life.Religion is man’s attempt to live a Christian life in his own strength. Religion promotes earning God’s favor by performance, behavior, and keeping the rules. It deceives you into believing that you can live THE Christian life if you try hard enough. Religion is all about fear and control. On the other hand, Jesus is God’s attempt to gain our favor by living THE Christian life FOR us. The only requirement is giving up our control and letting Him live His life… THE life… in us, through us, for us, and as us. Jesus is all about love and freedom. The Truth will set you free. Religion will put you in bondage. You hold in your hand the keys to the Kingdom. The truths contained herein will not only unlock the mystery of Christ IN you, the hope of glory, but will set you free from the prison of religion as well.
