We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about. We need to put Christ back in Christmas. JESUS is still the reason for the season.
My dear precious Jesus, I do not mean to take your place. I only bring toys and things; You bring love and grace. People give me lists of wishes and hope they come true; You hear prayers of the heart with promises Your will to do. Children try to be good and not cry when I’m coming to town; You love them unconditionally with a love that abounds.
I leave some toys and temporary joy for the season; You give eternal love and grace for all the right reasons. I have a lot of believers and what one might call fame; Yet, I’ve never healed the blind or even tried to help the lame. I have rosy cheeks and a voice full of laughter; But no nail-scarred hands or promise of the hereafter.
You may find several of me in a town or a mall; But only omnipotent You can answer a prayer call. And so, my dear Jesus, I kneel here humbly to pray, to worship, and adore You on Your holy birthday.

It’s two plus weeks before Christmas… REMEMBER: JESUS is far better than Santa!!!
Santa lives at the North Pole. JESUS is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh. JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year. JESUS is an ever-present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies. JESUS supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited. JESUS stands at your door and knocks… and then enters your heart.
You have to stand in line to see Santa. JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap. JESUS lets you rest in His arms.
Santa doesn’t know you; all he says is “Hi, little boy or girl, what’s your name?” JESUS knew your name before anyone else. He not only knows your name, He knows your address too. He knows your history, future… He even knows how many hairs are on your head.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly. JESUS has a heart full of love.
All Santa can offer is HO! HO! HO! JESUS offers salvation, love, and hope.
Santa says, “You better not cry!” JESUS says, “Cast all your cares on me, for I care for you.”
Santa’s little helpers make toys. JESUS gives new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes, and builds mansions.
Santa may make you chuckle, but… JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree, JESUS became our gift… He died on the tree.
It’s obvious there is really no comparison. We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about. We need to put Christ back in Christmas. JESUS is still the reason for the season.
May the Lord bless and watch over you and your loved ones this Christmas, 2024. And may He prosper and bless the work of your hands in the New Year. Resolve to find your one word goal for 2025, and may this year be your most joyful New Year ever. No resolutions, no goals… just One Word to give our life meaning, passion, and purpose.
This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
